This website displays a selection of the best work of Bastian Bauwens, a German landscape photographer. It also serves as a platform for Bastian to write about other photography-related matters. Knowing that most people like to know the story behind a photograph, he frequently posts some of his favorite images and their stories in a Photo of the Day series. Although Bastian is based in Germany, he travels the entire world with his camera to capture the beauty of nature. His favorite locations can be found in the United States – particularly the Southwest, California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska – and in New Zealand. Some of these places he has visited numerous times already, always waiting for the perfect moment and the perfect light.
